About BTEB GPA Calculation
The Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) uses a credit-based grading system for all diploma engineering programs. Each subject carries a certain number of credits (C), and students earn a grade point (GP) based on the percentage of marks they score. The semester GPA is the weighted average of these grade points.
Theory and practical assessments are both included in the final marks — a subject may have continuous assessment marks, final exam marks, and practical assessment marks. The total percentage across all components determines the letter grade and grade point for that subject.
